That patialy depends on you working skill if you are expert in ASP you then you must not select Linux hosting and learn PHP. I prefer Linux server cause it is cheap comparitavely to Windows and definately fast and secured

Well I would suggest linux now even more because I think you can now have asp on linux with a mod if you server has that and linux seems to be better.

Lunix is the best. You can CMOD files and much more. I think Windows is for like bug companies.

I think the reason people say that Linux is better is because no one wants to root for the major corporation that sucks the last dime from a dieing mans hands.

But for all the "evil" that MS might be, they have ALOT of cash, which means alot of RnD for hosting abilitys.
It would be stupid of them to be sitting back saying "Linux is a better host, oh well, lets make another OS".

I am not sure on the specifics of the difference, but they cant be THAT bad.

Linux, It Is Cheap and cheerful, windows is a piece of rubbish even server 2003 is not properly developed yet, saying that nor is vista lol

I prefer Linux. I have spent my whole life using it. Never really used windows. Plus you cant run php i dont think
