PLESK - Request SSL Certificate
This article covers how to request a SSL Certificate.
SSL Certificates can be purchased by submiting a ticket to our billing department or your hosting plan may have included a certificate.
Either way, once the certificate has been purchased follow this procedure to have support perform the installation.
1. Login to your control panel.
2. Click on your domain.
3. Click the Certificates icon.
4. Click the "Add new certificates" icon.
5. Fill out the following fields only.
Certificate name: This is a friendly name, such as MyCert
Bits: Select 1024
Country: Select your country
State or province: Enter your state or province
Location (City): Enter your city
Orginazation Name(Company): Your name if you're an individual
Domain Name:
This is important. Enter the URL you want the cert for, such as www.mydomainname.com or secure.mydomain.com.
Do NOT add http://
Once the certificate is installed it CANNOT be renamed. Refunds will not be issued for misspelled URL's. Email: Your email address
6. Once those fields only are entered, click the Request button.
Then open a ticket with support and inform them you have already purchased a certificate with 3Essentials and generated the request. Support will then handle installing the certificate.
