I've seen one offering Zpanel hosting but I think it broke something on their server or stopped connecting to the DBs so they had to disable it and offer Cpanel instead :/
for free, its awesome, but the speed sucks, i get timeouts 90% of the time cuz the scripting is soo poor... but its great, i think of it as cpanel's cousin
Fantastico is great but I don't think all of the scripts in it are really used Cpanel is pretty good even without Fantastico because you can manage your web quite conveniently with a little help from the panel guide as you go along
zpanel is horrible, I installed it on my server (win2003 apache) server. It worked horrible. I thought it would be a fake cpanel and it would be great....wrong, from making subdomains to new accounts, it sucked. It couldnt even install forums. spend the money get cpanel..

you cant/shouldnt compare anything free with anything paid... its obviously not going to be as good!
and its free.. and you couldnt make one better.. which is the only other way you could get a free one..

i think we can't not expect a free zpanel can do better than cpanel.
The thing that we can expect is it will have less bug.
