Hello Robert,

I would always prefer to go with Dedicated box instead of a shared hosting package.
There are many factors which has to be decided while choosing for a shared/dedicated packages.
1) Application/softwares you are running on the website.
2) Daily traffic/hits and size of the website.
3) Web space and Bandwidth requirements!
4) Your budget/prices with particular specifications.
5) Last but not least your knowledge/skills with root access of the server, administrations knowledge, etc..

If your site is fairly small, then high-end shared hosting account is suitable for you. And if you need more reliability with optimal performance, premium bandwidth and need to offer game hosting than you can go with a dedicated box with good specifications

Depends on what you requirement really is. Are you running a mission critical website or application and want to manange all aspects and have full control on your server? Then it is probably better to go for a dedicated server. A dedicated server is much costlier than Shared Hosting. You will pay anywhere better$250 to $400 per month for a good dedicated server, while Shared hosting will cost you only a fraction of that cost, around $30-$50 for the whole year depending on the package you choose.

Robert, if you are after any more or less valid suggestion, post your requirements, otherwise you'll get some idle thoughts.

dedicated

Dedicated hosting is a much better bet. It may seem a little expensive in comparison to shared web hosting, but the end result is much better for your business. Shared web hosting, no matter how well managed, usually cannot be 100% reliable and stable. When you have your own dedicated server, you can manage to avoid most of the variables affecting the reliability and stability of a server, like overload, bad codes and scripts from other users. Our web host, Server Intellect - stays on top of things so that we can put our efforts into our actual business.

Dedicated hosting is far better then shared one. I am using dedicated hosting of "drupalvaluehosting.com” and have high satisfaction level. If you are looking for reliable and affordable hosting for small businesses, ecommerce websites and individuals around the globe. DVH is offering affordable web hosting, but unlike other companies their shared hosting and reseller hosting plans are reliable and stable as well.
