I used to do this and if the host doesn't allow direct linking, make a page with the links to the files on that and link to that page

it's a bit tedious but hey, it's free. STOP COMPLAINING!

i've been using free hosting for any site i have hosting, untill recently, now im moving to paid hosting because its alot more reliable..

free hosting can be good but I've learned the hard way that if hosts offer big spaces with no ads, bbeware! they have to pay for servers and if they're not earning off you, that might speed up a free host's demise!

my experience, if you need a free hosting, make sure the company have their primary business other than just free hosting.
so they don't too much rely on free hosting business, which is lower income.

I do not trust free hostings. May be they offer good service but I do not think that you can work without problems. At them always something happens

Well i agree to that, free hosting companies are not reliable in many regards, these free hosts cannot support their own hosting company, how can they support their customers.

So i would only suggest you to go in for paid hosting services which are certainly a better off, however a definite research of them is equally very important.
