c sharp.net where to start

ok I have taking intro to C and visual basic and maybe one or two programming courses in the past. At this point it was a long time ago. I have thought about this a few times and unfortunately it's hard to transition over for many reasons - especially since I'm top senior in my profession "tech support" for client/server based products. I have also been through college and don't want to spend the next 5 years going again. I have a family now and I don't have too much time. With that said: A friend was telling me that maybe learning and/or taking a object orientated course and than c sharp.net course could possibly get me in the door somewhere. Of course taking a cut in pay from being a senior in my profession might not be something I'd be interested in. I have liked programming enuf in the past, but wasn't an ACE at it either. hmmmm.

So my question is: What does it mean take some kind of an object orientated course? Like what?
Any ideas on a course of action I could take.

Learing object oriented language is bit tricky. For someone not used to oops, it is a steap learning curve. Also, it might be fairly easy to get started, it might take you some time and efforts to be a professional and start earning. At this point of time, if you want to switch your career, you will have to put in a lot of efforts and time. Probably it is not going to be as easy as spending a few hours now and then and expecting to get a high paying job.

You will have to seriously think if you wish to make a creer move. If you really want to do, I would recommend you to join an evening course or something, rather than learning it yourself. You may have to learn few related technologies, not just c#(say HTML/Database/Ajax etc. if you plan to go to the web). Getting a MS certification should be your goal.

i personally think that after learning c, its get even difficult to learn c++ or any other object oriented language.
because c is a procedural language, and you start to think like it.
but in oop you have to change your entire designing style.
but give it a try. google it and you will find lots of tutorials.
keep practicing, you can msg me if you want any help
