I have been using phpnuke for almost 3 years now.. and after the recent release 7.8 & 7.9 were made available only for paid members.. i found an alternate to that... its called pcnuke and available from pcnuke.com .. the only problem with this cms its very bulky....all the variants of paid phpnukes are available for free.......
I am having a look through what e107 can offer from e107.org...... i feel it somehow resembles plone cms.... which is pretty smart and decent to use....

thanks for the tip but are CMS scripts really tweak-friendly? i stayed away from them because I'm afraid of breaking them

i used e107... i also tried mambo and phpnuke... i found that e107 suited me the best... so i recommend sticking with that... of course our needs were probably different so try them all and see which you like best
