Out of these I think some are definitely better than others. having a big paypal donate button won't get you anywhere I don't think. I think the best way to make a profit and maintain it long-term is actually to expand in all areas. To that end, selling templates, offering to custom-design websites (big $$), etc could be areas where you might want to get started in. You want to make your company diverse enough to take a hit in one area and not just totally collapse. Ultimately it also may come down to spreading the word about your site, being unique in some way or feature, and maintaining a prestine reputation as a host with near 100% uptime.
