It looks like Rackspace is willing to match prices with their competitors. I'm not sure this will lead to a price war, but it does make it appear that the competition is getting stronger at the more reliable end of the hosting market.

For sure the competition is getting stronger everyday. This was definitely a good move. Wont create a price war but I think if you want to stay in the game and keep existing clients you must offer some sort of price match.
