Any one know what data hosting is? Any idea? Thanks in advance for your reply. I saw it somewhere in which someone asked what is the difference between data hosting and shared hosting..

Well, data hosting and shared hosting are not mutually exclusive. I'm sure lots of providers out there offer data hosting on shared servers.

Data hosting is more or less equivaent to file hosting; it's where things like back-ups, documents, files designated for download, etc are kept separate from your main site files (ie. html, image, php files). Or, you can even get data hosting without having a web site, if you just want to share some music files (legal, of course), documents, or whatnot.
