I thinks the service is secure,
since you have to check on your current biling first, inform the random billing/charges amount to iKobo, then you'll be charged the full amount (after adjusting the random charges).
In this way, they prevent credit card fraud.
I wonder why it's not so popular as Paypal...

Ikobo is a small company with a legitimate business. Although their customer support service is slow their payment service has very low fees compared to paypal.

Another plus for ikobo is its presence in 170 countries compared to paypal which is available in 56 countries.

If iKobo will be accepted by a lot of businesses as a way of payment, then I think it will become popular too.

Ikobo has had many problems with MasterCard in the past. Do they (Ikobo)support online payments again or is it just a P2P network? I quit paying a lot of attention to Ikobo when they were spamming the forums a few months back.

We do have an account with them actually and we do use them for one P2P transaction a month actually with one of our contractors in Romania. We have had a few problems but it is to be expected of course with almost any type of company like that
