 | This is my personal standpoint, but I would rather avoid large companies. Especially if you are new to this area and do not know deeply what awaits for you. Large companies like hostgator have good features but sometimes they oversell or 'forget' about the clients.
For start I would recommend you going with not big provider, like, hqhost.net - they are very stable and have affordable prices.
I also think you shouldn't sign up as soon as you see the offer: compare several plans from different companies and then decide what would be the best for you!
Good luck! |

 | I agree that it's easier to get guidance that a noob may need from an average-sized company. |

 | i disagree with your point-of-view to register for a "mediocre" company.
will mediocre company becomes big one-day, do you guys just want to be mediocre for the rest of the life of the company?
From my point-of-view, choose a company that is reliable, trustworthy and have a good customer support. That's it |

 | I do not heard about HostGator. But have read a good review about 24HostingNow on this forum. Also heard them to be very reliable at their service. |

 | HostGator is decent but there are better competitors similar in price and service, check out my review site and see if it changes your mind. |

A middle-sized company is the best solution, you will not be lost like if you deal with big company because of the number of clients, but, yes, the company has to be reliable, honest and of course stable. I suggest to choose a reliable host like Marblehost.com, moreover their prices are not very high. |

 | I don't think it matters about the size of the host really - but do chose one that offer fast and reliable support. This is especially important when you are first starting out. Good luck. |

 | yup, right decision mate. You should go for paid hosting, you can't ever rely on free web hosting. Earlier i also used free web hosting but later as I had problem with my site uptime I switched to paid hosting. Currently I am using 24HostingNow as host for my website. If you wish to check out, you touch them at anytime. Cheers |
