Therefore Dedicated is better than Reseller, i hope this helps :-) |

 | A dedicated server gives you more freedom than a resellers plan, but requires management and installation of all the applications from you. So it all depends on how computer savvy you are and how much freedom you need. |

Go for reseller if you intend to resell hosting accounts to other ppl. Eg if you are a web designer who has many clients. Of course you can also use a dedicated account but with a reseller account, you get all the software in place and the system is configured for you to create accounts for your individual customers. Generally, a reseller a/c is much cheaper than a dedicated a/c.
Go for dedicated if you need total control of a server, or if your site is too popular, has too much traffic or need too much space till it is not suitable for you to share the server with others. Another reason to go with dedicated is if you need server stability, as there will be no one to cause CPU spikes/hogs, since you are the only one in the server.
Not all hosts offer reseller and dedicated accounts. Of all the hosts picked to be profiled in FreeAndCheapWebHosting.com, Hostgator offers both reseller & dedicated. Globat offers only reseller accounts. |

 | Master reseller / reseller? I have both accounts . I can create single hosting accounts,, or I can create a reseller account. The business cost me less than $10.00 a month.
I cant rent or buy a dedicated server for that little. so on some sides being a master reseller is the way to go,, you get the best of both worlds. |

 | You are probably comparing reseller and VPS accounts, as it's not reasonable to compare dedicated to reseller, the difference in price is really huge.
So Reseller plan vs VPS, I'd say with less money and server management skills it's always better to go for the reseller plan, the minuses of the reseller plan are inability to control RAM, few people on the account. |
