to the OP. The best suggestion I've read here, and I agree with is to test the waters. You need to contact specialized game server providers, and grill both their sales department and tech support. Ask questions left and right. The more detailed the answer, the more you can be assured they know what they are doing. Also, ask any potential client if they have a 100MB file you can download to test their speed. Don't ask them for a pingable IP address. pings can only get you so far, its the transfer rate you want. Most companies will provide you with a simple .bin file that you can download from somewhere on their servers, and you can measure the transfer rate. IF you have a shell account somewhere, that's how I would transfer it, because Browsers don't give 100% accurate results. You should WGET the file from a shell.
