 | about terms on colocation
Hi folks,
Colocation is complete new to me. Because of the speed limit of the broadband in my house and unaviabily of DSL I have to conisder colocation.
Please shed me some light on negotiating terms with the Colo company;
- do I need to purchase a rack from the colo company to install my server
- electricity - is it central supply and I don't need installing power-supply on the server
- can I make access to my server in day time for repair
- is there speed limit on the broadband connection to my server
- what other terms I have to pay attention to
etc.

| Hi, satimis! The questions you ask should be discussed with your colo services provider. You haven't mentioned any specific area you want to have your server in. Is it a significant point for you?

Serverpoint.com have been in business for almost 10 years already, so I guess their level of expertise is extremely high. They offer to collocate servers in Las Vegas, Nevada. | |

| Make sure you get a colocation company where you can upgrade easily once you start growing. Many of them get you for cheap money with a basic solution but then when you need to upgrade it gets very expensive... | |

| I think that web hosting companieds do not offer only co location. Check if web hosting cfompany allow adult on the other packages (shared, dedicated servers etc) and that would mean that they allow that on colocation for sure. I would recommend HQHost.net for adult web hosting. | |
