 | Virtual Private Servers (VPS). VPS account could be run it own operating system. You can run an FTP server, a web server... such as Apache, and an your own E-mail server.

 | A Private server hosting is a server all to yourself to host yourself on.
Those are expensive. They get the fastest speed.
A Virtual private server (vps) is one server like a cake. But it's split into partitions like a slice. And each person hosted gets a slice. They also get the fastest speed. But not so expensive.
A Shared server is what you get if you're hosted for free. The best example is anzwers/geocities/angelfire/t35/host ultra.
Everyone shares the same server. So your site gets slow because of someone else. |

 | VPS hosting is a dedicated server that is divided into multiple isolated servers. A virtual private server works much like a dedicated server complete with root access and the ability to install programs of your choice. A VPS is like having a dedicated server at a much affordable price.
Overall, VPS is a perfect way to start and pave your way towards an actual dedicated server. |

 | VPS is a section of dedicated server on which you can use cpanel. VPS performs and executes exactly like a stand-alone server. |
