a dedicated server is better if you can afford one, because they work out cheaper, but they are more expensive because you get more with them

a reseller account is an account you can buy from someone (usually) with a dedicated server, it is smaller, and a good way to start, then move up to a dedicated server. A dedicated server is a computer with a constant connection to the net, where you save all your files etc to the hard drive, and you get b/w to allow other people to access the files...

a dedicated server is much better than a reseller account on a standalone basis but you do need to consult your situation. you don't want to be stuck with a huge monthly reseller bill and very few clients to help pay it with! this is where resellers come in

not always true though, if you can get a reseller account with a good speed server, but cannot afford a fast dedicated server, you could be doing worse buying a dedicated server..

Hmmm interesting!!

I feel a reseller account is kinda a smaller version of actually bying the entire server.
And that way it probably depends on individual needs!!
