for a start, M$ Frontpage is easy.
Next level, you might want to try Macromedia Dreamweaver

I would suggest Notepadplus and Frontpage for a beginner. If you are familiar with HTML then you can opt for Dreamweaver which is more of an advanced tool.

I have used some version of Frontpage since about 1996 or so. If you are familiar with other MS office applications, Frontpage might be pretty good. DW can be a bit daunting with all those extra windows opening but in my opinion, you definitely need to know HTML and CSS to build a website

i also recommend frontpage if you have it.... if you dont, there is something kind of siilar called nvu (its free to download, search it up on download.com)

if u like frontpage and have some money, then get dreamweaver

The best editor would probably be MS Frontpage and second to that would be Dreamweaver. They are both ungodly expensive and I'd buy a $30 book on HTML rather than spending over $100 on one of those.
