Forget price in this setup. I am trying to figure out the best server for a web server and the best for a database server based on the options below.
I'm not sure how important those faster SAS drives on my DB server are compared to SATA drives. Is RAM more important for my DB or my web server if I can make an upgrade for just one?

My choices:

Harpertown 5420 2.5GHz (Dual Processor, QuadCore) with 12mb L2 cache

DB server:
Clovertown 5310 1.6GHz (DUAL processor, QuadCore) with 8mb L2 cache
